Farwa Arshad
Director of Communications and Outreach
Farwa Arshad is a York University student currently in her 4th year of Global Health, specializing in Health Policy, Management, and Systems. As a former ESL learner, she founded Lingua Franca along with Kaye to provide a comfortable learning space for current and past ESL learners. As a student leader, she has been involved with the Calumet and Stong Colleges as an Alumni, Fellows, and Career Exploration Coordinator for their work/study program, and is also the President of the Global Health Students’ Association. In her free time, Farwa loves to crochet and learn new arts and crafts.
Kaye Canoy
Director of Planning and Organization
Kaye is in her fourth-year of studies. She is majoring in BA Honours Psychology and minoring in Linguistics. She is also completing her TESOL certification at York. Aside from being with Lingua Franca, Kaye is also actively involved within the York community and is currently an executive member with the Undergraduate Psychology Student Association (UPSA). She is also a work/study student with the Calumet and Stong Colleges. During her free time, she likes to play and take her dog, Kol, for a walk.
