We are an Agents of Change project supported by the Calumet and Stong Colleges at York University.
We aim to support English as a Second Language (ESL) students at York University and beyond. Lingua Franca offer workshops throughout the year which address important communication skill enhancement such as Active Listening, Pronunciation, Impromptu Speaking, and so on.
Our mentorship program led by our Mentors aim to guide and support students in creating a short presentation as an experience to develop their skills. This is to be presented during our Summit happening on March 2022.
Lingua Franca workshops varies from active listening, pronunciation, impromptu speaking, and script reading. Our workshops are held through out the semester.
These workshops are intended for students to learn and practice with their fellow peers. It is 100% free and everyone is welcome to join.
Our mentorship program allows students enrolled in the program to be matched with a Mentor who will guide them and provide A space where they can freely enhance your English communication skills with continued support from the team. Mentors will serve as guides and facilitators in their own scheduled work sessions to interact and learn together with their Mentees.
